Access - For Advanced Practice Providers (PAs, NPs, CRNAs)

As a new Stanford Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will need access to the Epic system in order to care for patients.

Obtaining Access to Epic

  1. The Medical Staff Office (MSO) must start the process by credentialing you.
  2. The MSO will then notify your Lead Advanced Practice Provider or Department Manager so he/she can complete the You must be on the SHC Network to visit this linkAccess Request Form and we can assign you an sID.
  3. Once you have an sID and have completed training, you should receive your Epic login within 48 hours.

Common Issues

  1. Your account is inactive
  2. Your colleague has different options in Epic than you have
    • Please call the Service Desk at 650-723-3333 if you were given the wrong Epic security template.  Your template drives what you can see and do in Epic and may need to be modified.
