Access - For Managers

Any Stanford employee who needs access to view or edit content in Epic must have their own login.

Obtaining Access to Epic

  1. Managers must submit an You must be on the SHC Network to visit this link Access Request Form for each new employee.  See new instructions for requesting access for SHC (Lawson) or Menlo employees.
  2. Managers need to register employees for the appropriate training class or e-learning. Visit our Staff / Managers page for more details.
  3. Managers should receive two emails:
    • Confirmation of the employee's new sID
    • Confirmation that the employee has been created in Epic
  4. Once the employee has an sID and has completed training, he/she should receive their Epic login within 48 hours.

Common Issues

  1. The employee's account is inactive.
  2. He/She does not have the options, views and/or functionality in Epic that their peers have. Please call the Service Desk at 650-723-3333 if they were given the wrong permissions.
